Hey! My name is Jaidyn and I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself and share my favourite products.

I am in my first year at the University of Toronto, where I am currently enrolled in the general Social Science program, and hope to pursue a degree in Political Science and Sociology. I have lived in the Junction area for most of my life, and has been the neighbourhood my grandparents first resided in when they immigrated to Canada over 50 years ago. It is pretty cool to see and hear all about the development of the neighbourhood throughout generations! 

When I’m not at school or in the shop, I spend my time at coffee shops, thrift stores, playing guitar, doing martial arts, and of course, playing with my dog and cats.

I have been at Caribou Gifts for a couple of months now, and there are definitely some (if not most) items that I would love to take home. We have lots of games and puzzles for both adults and kids, but one that has become a classic in my life and which we sell in the store would have to be ‘What do you Meme’. It's a very laid back game where the objective is to match a caption to a specific photo/meme, and the judge of the round would pick the best combination. I have also been obsessed with the Quebec Maple Sugar candle from Sara’s Soaps and Candles. It has a very warm, vanilla-sugary scent and is perfect for those cozy days in the fall and winter. Another favourite of mine would definitely be all the car accessories from ClassyCards. The mixture of Sarcasm but also the mean - however honest phrases written on the bumper magnets and air fresheners will never fail to make a guest in your car laugh. 

With the time I have spent working here, I’ve realized how much each member of the team matters in order for the business to operate, and that small businesses truly care about the individual, whether you are a customer or employee. I am looking forward to spending time here and meeting all of our wonderful customers!
