In the time that I have spent at Caribou Gifts, I have become obsessed with the unique and amazing Canadian product selection that the store has to offer. Some of my personal favourites are:
This past Valentine’s Day my mom ordered the Soy candle-making kit for my sister her and me to do together and it was so much fun. We got to each make our candles and choose our scent for each. It was so nice to spend some quality time with these two, but it was even better to participate in something so unique and fun like candle-making! This is great for all ages and filled with every possible ingredient or tool that you could need. We don’t currently have this kit in stock but we do have a wide range of similar DIY kits!
Another product that I truly love from the store is EXIT games from KOSMOS. My family and I have participated in this brainteaser game before, but it has never stopped being fun. As someone who loves a challenge and problem-solving, these thought-provoking games are right up my alley! There are so many to choose from and the level of difficulty varies, allowing all ages to enjoy this game. As well, it is a great way to bring the family together and bond but if not careful, it can turn into one crazy game night.
Another favourite of mine is the LEGO puzzles that we have offered at the store. They are so colourful and grab people’s attention as soon as they enter the store. Our LEGO collection is spectacular and there is a great range of products. From LEGO cards to puzzles and a Yoda stuffed animal, Caribou Gifts has it all. The LEGO puzzles are 1000 pieces each and great for the whole family to enjoy. I remember when I was a little girl, I adored puzzles and all things LEGO, so it is very cool to see the extent of products that LEGO has created since I was younger.
The Sow Sweet cards are also a favourite of mine because not only are they adorable, but they are also great for the environment. After receiving this card, instead of throwing it away or putting it away in storage, these cards can be planted 1/8” under some soil and after water thoroughly, the seed paper will germinate and grow to live a new life. I love to live as sustainably and green as I possibly can so the idea of seed paper to me is completely genius. The number of cards that I have received in my life that have ended up in the garbage or I will put on display for a few months only to still end up in the garbage. This alternative allows new life to grow and is a great activity as well. Not to mention the cards themselves are adorable and Canadian-made.
