Family Day weekend is always a welcome break during the longest shortest month of the year 😄 For our family it often overlaps with my son’s birthday. He’s our first born and so it’s particularly sweet to have an extra day to celebrate when we went from being a couple to a family.
One of our favorite ways to be together is “making things” as my daughter calls it. The “thing” might be muffins, a craft or Lego. But what we’re really making are the core memories that I hope they’ll hold on to as they grow. The times mom and dad were 100% focused on them, and having just as much fun as they were!
Here are my top picks for “making things” over Family Day
Start to Cook book from Usborne
Crayola Marker Maker
Easy Electric Circuits from Thames & Kosmos
Lego Chain Reactions from Klutz
