In 2020 we saw thousands of small business pivot online and we also saw quite a high number of companies enter the gift basket businesses offering gift boxes, baskets and/or subscription services. We were in fact one of those companies; we incorporated just a week before Toronto got locked down in March 2020 not knowing that the next year would be spent basically in isolation. So much good has come from local businesses pivoting online and offering new services; plus, competition is great for any industry. That said, it can be difficult to find a gift basket company that checks all the boxes.
